Issues downloading Updates
If you are having issues downloading updates it could be due to your software or hardware firewall preventing Active FTP.
The Sammy Systems use ACTIVE FTP for its file transfers for updates. Due to the randomization of server to client ports, active FTP can be interrupted by some firewalls and/or routers. If this occurs users will be unable to download updates or perform several other tasks within the Sammy System. Clients will need to speak with their vendors and IT people to resolve any connectivity issues when downloading updates via ACTIVE FTP. ICS Software cannot make any changes to client security devices or settings and are unable to adjust the FTP type specific to any client.
