Unfortunately, you cannot delete a task for an unsigned note.  If you try to, you will get the following message.

In Order to resolve this task, you can double click on the task and then double click on View Note. 

You will now see a button that says Sign Note.  If you click this button you will get another pop up asking you to Confirm Signature. Click Yes and the task will be completed.
