When a provider credentials with CT Medicaid they create a provider account on the Medicaid website. In order to send electronic claims and receive ERA files the provider applies for Trading Partner ID. Once issued, they create a new user account linked to this TP#. This is the account that they must use to send claims and retrieve 835 ERA files. If the provider logs on to the CT Medicaid website under their provider profile logon, they will not see their ERA files. They might see Remittance Advice PDF files, but these are not supported in Sammy and will not properly download or process. They might get a pop up about a new report type found, contact support. This indicates that they attempted to retrieve a report that is not in the proper format. Providers must know their TP User name and password in order to retrieve their 835 ERA files. ****claim files can be uploaded to the provider user account and will still process.
